Description:
As the Payroll Systems Testing Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, stability and performance of the payroll systems environment. You'll design and execute test plans, validate system enhancements, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and support upcoming compliance and legislative changes-particularly in relation to STP2 and PayDay Super.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and testing scripts across payroll and HRIS systems.
- Analyse, document and escalate defects, ensuring timely resolution and system reliability.
- Maintain STP2 and PayDay Super reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Payroll, People & Culture, IT and external vendors on system enhancements and upgrades.
- Support ongoing compliance with Australian payroll legislation and regulatory updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across testing frameworks, systems performance, and process optimisation.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in payroll system testing/QA
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving capability.
- Experience with SAP
- Familiarity with Australian and state‑based payroll legislation (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and numeracy; collaborative and adaptable team mindset.
