Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on Queensland's public sector?

We're looking for a forward thinking and strategic leader who is ready to lead a multi disciplinary team to develop, plan and implement high priority sector wide workforce initiatives.

As Director of Priority Initiatives and Program Development, you will take a considered approach to delivering sector workforce policy and strategy.

This role involves leading a small team and translating Public Sector Commission priority initiatives into relevant, timely and fit for purpose frameworks, programs and practical tools and resources for agency use, while scaling them for broader application.

Some Of Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

  • managing a small team in the development and implementation of innovative workforce initiatives and organisational priorities
  • ensuring initiatives are delivered in a timely and agile way
  • leading the planning and implementation of high-priority initiatives, such as the Regional Collaborative Governance Model and Collaboration Connect
  • identifying and implementing the appropriate build (develop in house), borrow (utilise sector resources), broker (with partners) or buy model for effective on-time project delivery
  • working with sector agencies to design and implement priority initiatives that are fit for purpose and meet the sector's needs
  • ensuring program and project success through effective performance measurement, reporting and continuous improvement
  • fostering a healthy and inclusive workplace where health, safety and wellbeing are prioritised
  • leading the preparation and presentation of accurate, credible and complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and other documents to meet the information needs of stakeholders.
