Your Team
Development Services uses the wide-ranging powers of the Economic Development Act 2012 to deliver housing, commercial and industrial development outcomes for Queensland. You will be part of a connected, accountable, impactful and nimble team that is working to enable transformative developments across the State with pace and scale.
Development Services comprises a mix of planning, urban design, built form, engineering and commercial professionals responsible for the identification and implementation of the state's PDAs and Accelerated Development Opportunity sites and precincts.
Your Opportunity
As Senior Project Officer, reporting to the Manager, Program Delivery, you will be responsible for providing support to the Program Delivery team and broader Program and Performance branch to facilitate the achievement of Development Services objectives.
Key Duties Include
- Apply sound project management methodology to support the development and implementation of essential project management documents and tools, including project plans, budgets, reporting, risk and issue identification and mitigation and overall project plans.
- Prepare and coordinate project documentation such as status reports, budget updates, and project registers while applying effective record management practices.
- Provide timely and accurate advice on risks, issues, project milestones and required outcomes to stakeholders.
- Manage the procurement of contractors, products and services for EDQ projects in accordance with procurement guidelines and the whole of government panel arrangements.
- Conduct and coordinate engagement and consultation activities with a range of stakeholders
- Utilise, review and update project guidelines, documents, procedures, business systems, processes, databases and information systems to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Coordinate procurement activities by preparing and managing documentation, be responsible for contract management, budget tracking, accounts management, record management and quality control.
- Assist with the preparation of high-quality presentations, briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence.
- Undertake research and project manage the delivery of minor outcomes.
- Support the Team to manage financial and HR related tasks.
