The Queensland Human Rights Commission (QHRC or Commission) is an independent statutory body with responsibilities under two Queensland laws, the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (ADA) and the Human Rights Act 2019 (HRA). Our purpose is to strengthen the understanding, acceptance and promotion of human rights in Queensland, and to eliminate discrimination and sexual harassment. Our values are independent, respect, inclusion, diversity and integrity.
Our Team
This directorate brings together the Commission's legal and policy, education and research functions to undertake proactive, strategic work that maximises the Commission's impact and drives transformational change. Our role is to build knowledge and capacity, influence law and policy and deliver research outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Qualifications in law and/or legal education are highly desirable.
- Due to the requirement to travel from time to time, a driver licence is a requirement of the role. Other relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
