Description:
Your role within Frontline Services, Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to develop, implement, deliver and manage learning and development programs for housing and homelessness services.You will be operational support to staff in Housing Service Centres, and others involved in the delivery of housing products and services by supporting the development and delivery of a range of training, information sessions and learning and development workshops.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide leadership to a team dispersed across Queensland.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of learning and development activities to facilitate effective, consistent, and informative customer service delivery.
- Coordinate the planning, administration, and resources necessary to prepare and deliver learning and development activities within agree timeframes and to specified outcomes.
- Manage small/medium projects directly linked to the development and delivery of training products.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable external training providers and facilitators to deliver training with emphasis on providing value for money, consistency, and quality outcomes.
- Provide advice on contemporary training practices and methodologies as required by Management, Practice Improvement.
- Evaluate internal and external learning and development activities and regularly monitor feedback to assist improved training methods and outcomes.
- Lead and ensure you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
- Convey how your work contributes to wider organisational objectives and take these into account when making decisions.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and use high-level communication skills to identify and address the needs of customers and team members.
- Build a cohesive and supportive team environment and engender team commitment and motivation to achieve required outcomes.
- Model professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to quality outputs and contributed to the continuous improvement of work practices, systems, and processes.
