Description:

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) is undertaking a project to transform patient information continuity and clinical decision-making support across the QAS patient journeys. The NextGen eARF - Integrated Ambulance Care Management Platform Project (IACMP) will deliver a single, patient‑centric record that follows the patient across incidents, services, and organisations.

The Project Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of the IACMP under the guidance and direction of the Project Manager IACMP, this position will lead and coordinate the delivery of work packages and project related functions; lead and coordinate internal and external ICT service providers and multidisciplinary expertise/subject matter experts; and facilitate successful business outcomes and benefits realisation in line with IACMP.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:

  • High level of knowledge and demonstrated skills in the use of project and change management principles and methodologies and the proven ability to establish clear plans and timeframes for work packages from implementation through to closure.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to actively manage risks and issues and provide impartial, evidence-based advice towards mitigation and resolution.
  • Proven record of achievement in project administration, including taking ownership and responsibility for meeting objectives, monitoring and reporting on progress against milestones and managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and articulate manner to a variety of audiences, including senior executives, and represent the QAS in internal and external forums.
  • Effective client/stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability and proven commitment to quality customer service and collaborative teamwork.


The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:

  • Whilst not mandatory, possession of a recognised degree in Project Management, including experience in the use of project management tools and systems, will be highly regarded.
