The Strategic Communication and Events (SCE) branch is responsible for the department's corporate communication, marketing, sponsorship and events as well as social media and graphic design. Services provided by SCE ensure that the department has a strategic corporate communications framework and consistent approach to engaging with schools, members of the community, stakeholders and other government agencies.
Your Role
As Principal Communications and Marketing Officer based in our CBD central office, you will support the people of Queensland through the delivery of key communication and marketing services.
The role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications and marketing professional to deliver a range of strategic communications and marketing projects and activities to education and corporate clients.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead enterprise level communication and marketing projects ensuring effective liaison and consultation with key stakeholders.
- Deliver high quality, responsive communication and marketing services within an account management framework.
- Develop and implement innovative communication and marketing strategies that support and promote state schooling and the work of the department.
- Prepare a range of audience-focused and engaging materials for traditional, social media and other digital channels
- Identify, prepare and distribute departmental good news that supports the department's commitment to engaging storytelling .
- Some experience working within an account management framework and nurturing effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders would be advantageous.
- The team offers flexible working arrangements including the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
