As the Principal Communications and Marketing Officer, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative public affairs, marketing, and communication strategies, with a strong focus on paid advertising campaigns, to attract police recruit applicants and engage communities across Queensland.You'll oversee a multi-disciplinary team, manage high-level media strategies, and deliver impactful campaigns, including the creation of paid marketing initiatives and advertising materials. Your Key Accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Develop, implement and evaluate integrated public affairs, marketing and communication strategies, policies and procedures to attract police recruit applicants.
- Lead and oversee the development of a variety of marketing and communications strategies and production of advertising material, including web-based products to attract police recruit applicants.
- Develop quality performance evaluation methodologies to assess the performance of public affairs and marketing strategies
- Provide high-level strategic public affairs, marketing and communications advice to QPS members, including the Executive Leadership Team
- Oversee a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of a range of public affairs communication strategies and marketing events.
- Prepare submissions, reports, briefing material and general correspondence for senior management as required.
- Maintain and develop effective communication networks with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the Media and Public Affairs Group on committees, forums and meetings as necessary.
Role Requirements
- Qualifications and/or experience in journalism and/or public affairs in a large geographically dispersed organisation will be considered favourably.
