K2 Strategies provide strategic oversight for early years education in state schools, working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality support for state schools, regional offices, and early years providers. Their focus includes Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (CTL), pedagogy, capability building, and governance in State Delivered Kindergarten (Kindy) sites and K-12 educational settings, with a particular emphasis on Kindergarten to Year 2 (K-2).
Your Role
As Director K2 Strategies, your role will be to lead a high performing team to deliver significant reforms and initiatives within early childhood and K-2 settings in state schools including Positive transitions, Kindly Learning Progression Tool, quality curriculum teaching and learning and ongoing capability building within the early years in curriculum, early years pedagogy's both within regions and state schools.
Responsibilities Include
As the Director, your responsibilities will include leadership of a high performing team to deliver targeted outcomes and implementation of the following state wide initiatives:
- Develop and implement strategies to support smooth transitions for children entering early childhood and K-2 settings.
- Oversee the implementation and refinement of the Kindly Learning Progression Tool.
- Drive the development and delivery of high-quality curriculum teaching and learning tailored to early childhood and K-2 settings.
- Promote evidence-based teaching practices and innovative pedagogies to enhance outcomes.
- Lead initiatives to build the capability of educators and leaders in early years curriculum and pedagogy.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with complex stakeholders to provide professional development opportunities and support continuous improvement in a range of settings.
