Lead the Be Crocwise Program and help shape safer, more informed communities!In this role, you’ll guide a key program within the Wildlife and Threatened Species Operations branch, promoting public safety and deepening understanding of the community attitudes that influence behaviour and behaviour change in areas inhabited by estuarine crocodiles. Join us as the Principal Project Officer and take the lead in driving the Be Crocwise Program—one of our key public safety and community engagement initiatives. In this role, you'll shape the program's strategic direction, oversee its implementation, and guide continuous improvement to ensure it delivers real impact.
You'll bring insight and innovation by analysing community attitudes and behaviours to strengthen communication and behaviour‑change strategies. Your expertise will support staff and stakeholders through training, coaching and practical guidance, in the area of the new Be Crocwise Program.
You'll also play a central role in developing policies and procedures, preparing high quality reports, and fostering strong relationships with partners across government and external agencies. Coordinating stakeholder forums and providing authoritative advice on engagement and behaviour change will be key to your success.
