Description:

Resources Safety & Health Queensland (RSHQ) is seeking a Regional Licensing Officer to assess and process explosives licences and security clearances under the Explosives Act 1999 and Explosives Regulation 2017.

In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for licensing matters, providing expert advice and interpreting legislation and policy to support fair, consistent, and well-reasoned decisions.

You will process Queensland Explosives Security Clearance renewals and enquiries, support customers with the RSHQ portal, and assess new, amendment, and renewal applications for explosives authorities including mutual recognition of interstate licences.

You will bring strong legislative interpretation and decision-making skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

As the role may involve exposure to sensitive material, resilience and sound judgement are essential.
