Description:

We are seeking an experienced senior executive to lead the Human Resources Regional Operations function across Queensland.

As the Executive Director you will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of HR Business Partnering, Workplace Health and Safety, Injury Management and Wellbeing services across multiple regions. You will oversee significant cultural, structural and operational change to ensure contemporary, consistent and high-quality HR service delivery aligned to departmental and government priorities.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and experience:

  • Leadership and Change Management: Proven ability to lead and manage large, complex HR operations, drive cultural reform, and implement change management initiatives to enhance efficiency, consistency, and performance.
  • Strategic and Operational Expertise: Extensive experience in strategy development, policy implementation, service delivery, and client service across public, private, or not-for-profit sectors, with a focus on achieving government priorities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, fostering partnerships and ensuring consistent HR service delivery across regions.
  • Financial and Risk Management: Demonstrated capability in managing resources within budget, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to achieve high-quality outcomes while maintaining the department's reputation.
  • People and Culture Leadership: Commitment to professionalism, ethical decision-making, and workforce development, with a proven track record of building confident, capable, and high-performing teams.
