We create brands, campaigns and digital experiences that drive commercial outcomes, from brand strategy and identity development, through to integrated campaigns, digital experience and ongoing activation.
Traffic are looking for an experienced Graphic / Mid-weight Designer who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, and can bring creative concepts to life in a meaningful and impactful way across integrated brand, campaign and digital projects.
This role is suited to a designer with strong creative and digital craft who is fluent in modern design tools, and combines strong conceptual thinking with confident execution. You’ll work closely with the Creative Director, GM, Design Director, and Digital Developers to deliver high-quality campaigns across multiple brands and campaigns.
This is a permanent contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Brand Design
- Develop visual concepts and creative directions across branding and campaigns
- Design brand identity applications and integrated marketing communications
- Build layouts for presentations, brochures, campaigns and marketing collateral
- Translate strategic briefs into thoughtful visual solutions
Digital & Integrated Execution
- Design digital assets including campaign rollouts, social and online communications
- Work confidently in Figma to develop layouts and collaborative design systems
- Adapt creative ideas across digital and print touchpoints
- Deliver work that balances creativity with clarity and usability
Collaboration
- Work closely with Creative Directors, Designers and Account Managers
- Participate in creative discussions and contribute ideas
- Present and articulate design thinking internally
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within agency timelines
Craft & Delivery
- Maintain strong typography, hierarchy and layout standards
- Deliver accurate, production-ready files
- Ensure consistency across brand systems and campaign executions
- Self-review work for quality and detail before delivery
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in an agency or in-house design environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both digital and graphic design experience
- Fluent in Figma (component systems, auto layout, prototyping and collaboration workflows)
- Proficiency across full Adobe Creative Suite - in particular InDesign, AfterEffects & Premiere Pro
- Experience in Wordpress or similar CMS platforms
- Understanding of responsive and digital-first design principles
- Experience designing campaigns across social, digital advertising and EDM formats
- Strong typography, layout and visual communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Great communication skills and a proven ability to work methodically to meet deadlines
- Confident presenting work and and creative rationale to internal teams and clients
Requirements
- Relevant Design qualification (Bachelor or Diploma preferred)
- Portfolio required (applications without portfolios will not be considered)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Melbourne Based (Permanent Contract Role)
