Innovation Division's Sector Development team has a focus on partnering and driving collaboration to unlock the potential of people, places and sectors in accelerating innovation-led economic development across the state. Our role is to:

• Ensure Queensland has a well-connected, inclusive, and thriving regional innovation ecosystem.
• Foster collaborations for job creation and economic growth.
  
  
  

- Support a statewide network of innovation people and places.

• Leverage connections and trust, harnessing relationships, strengthening respect, and activating opportunities for Queensland’s First Nations businesses and innovators and showcasing their success.
• Support First Nations innovators to become agents for change creating new jobs and economic wealth.
  
  
  

As Manager You Will

• Manage and support the team to develop and deliver existing and new projects and programs, overseeing timeframes and outcomes for these activities.
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior executives on complex issues related to innovation in Queensland, including the preparation and oversight of submissions, briefs and correspondence.
• Work strategically to actively resolve problems and deliver outcomes and results in a fast paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining best practice processes and protocols.
• High level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to liaise, consult and maintain positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
