Description:
Got the drive to turn your HR foundations into a seriously rewarding People & Culture career — one that’s about impact, not just paperwork?
St Bart’s is seeking a proactive, detail-driven People & Culture Coordinator to join our team — initially, working directly with and reporting to our Chief People & Culture Officer, who has 20+ years’ experience.
This is a hands-on role in the engine room of supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, HRIS, reporting and payroll support — helping deliver people strategies that genuinely make a difference in a community where everyone deserves a safe and secure place to call home.
Our workplace is a little different, too. We’re co-located alongside our transitional housing, social housing and aged care services, meaning you’ll see the real impact of our work every day. It’s not your typical quiet corporate office — it’s dynamic, human and deeply connected to the community we support.
You won’t just be filling a role — you’ll be developed in it, based on how big your learning appetite is! The successful incumbent will be supported and mentored with a view to growing into a higher-level People & Culture role within 2–3 years.
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Have at least 12 months’ experience in HR administration, working with HRIS and drafting those super important employment contracts and letters
- Hold a Cert IV in Human Resources (minimum) or similar qualification and Australian working rights
- Take pride in producing polished, flawless, professional documentation (your attention to detail is off the charts!)
- Are confident using LinkedIn and social media for employment branding
- Bring initiative, creativity and positive energy. You work smart, not hard (yes, we encourage AI at work).
- Can listen carefully to instructions — and thoughtfully improve on them (including the instructions in this advert - we'll be watching!)
- Are committed to learning quickly and prepared to invest in your own professional growth.
You’ll be learning directly from an experienced People & Culture leader who will stretch and support you — we’re looking for someone who’s ready to lean in, put in the effort and make the most of that opportunity.
To Apply:
Please submit:
- Your resume, which includes details of your qualifications
- A cover letter outlining your suitability and your availability to commence
- Answers to all of the questions we've set up on seek.com.au.
Applications that do not include a cover letter are not likely to be shortlisted.
What’s in it for you?
- Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging, giving you the potential to gain $15,900+ in tax benefits
- Leave: 23 days annual leave, that’s 3 days more than the standard 4 weeks (pro rata if part time)
- Perks: Lots of social activities, expand your experience by joining a consultation committee, and see the impact of our mission every day!
- Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are open to part-time hours for the right person. Also, this role is primarily office-based, as we believe the most effective People & Culture work happens through in-person collaboration, connection and presence. Flexibility is provided as needed and where appropriate.
- Career development: Training, accessible leaders, growth and advancement opportunities
- Culture: Exceptional workplace culture – we work hard and have fun while we do it
