We’re looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Marketing / Graphic Design Assistant to support our Events and Marketing Teams. This role blends hands‑on tactical marketing execution with creative design execution, helping us deliver high‑quality campaigns, event materials, and digital communications across multiple channels.

Your natural tendency towards organisation, great communication skills and willingness to learn will be the secret to your success. You need to be comfortable learning software systems, enjoy engaging with interesting people and are looking to work with an enthusiastic and supportive team.

You'll report to the Head of Events with mentorship from a senior graphic designer and marketing manager to keep those skills developing.

What You’ll Do

Marketing & Content

  • Support the delivery of multi‑channel marketing campaigns, including writing and uploading content across social media, websites and EDMs.
  • Manage website updates, coordinate content and assets from internal teams and partners, maintain asset libraries, and keep marketing calendars, WIPs and procedures up to date.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of marketing and design outputs.

Graphic Design

  • Create high‑quality digital and print assets such as social graphics, brochures, signage, event materials, presentations and templates.
  • Optimise designs for different formats, follow brand guidelines
  • Provide temporary design coverage during short periods of leave for the Senior Graphic Designer.

Events

  • Support the Events Team onsite at selected events throughout the year, including coordinating AV and stage requirements (approx. 7–8 Saturdays per year, with TIL provided).

Skillset

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite in a Mac OS environment
  • Intermediate design proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Express) with a strong understanding of typography, layout and colour theory
  • Confident using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Experience with CMS platforms and direct mail tools such as Mailchimp, HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Event experience is desirable but not essential
  • Prior is experience working in an office environment is desirable but not essential

  • Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Initiative, creativity and a positive, solutions‑focused mindset

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Marketing Communication
  • TAFE or higher qualification in Graphic Design or comparable experience — portfolio essential
