The Digital Customer (Smart Service Queensland) team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) provides digitally enabled whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels including phone, chat, counter and online. This stream brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement, and operations to deliver simpler connected services.As The Manager, Development And Delivery, You Will
- Manage the front end technical development, continuous improvement, and maintenance of Digital Engineering's online services. This includes Digital Customer's (SSQ's) agreed products, services, functions and supporting infrastructure
- Manage technical transition, change and improvement projects in accordance with agreed business requirements and plans, ensuring risks are identified and strategies implemented to mitigate risks to ensure project success.
- Manage continuous build pipeline and identify infrastructure requirements relevant to project activities and coordinate the provision of these within resource constraints.
- Manage the team to ensure a collaborative culture is maintained and effective change management, financial, contract and resource management.
- Utilise metrics and analytics to provide prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges and provide meaningful updates to leadership and feedback to service and product management teams to address issues and improve products and operations.
- Provide expert advice, facilitation, and technical solution services to achieve agreed objectives.
- Manage, monitor, and report team achievement against performance targets to ensure the continuous improvement and growth of online services.
- Establish agreed plans and schedules of activities to ensure productive stakeholder engagement and delivery.
- Promote, coordinate, and deliver communication to stakeholders ensuring all are fully briefed, supported and meeting development and delivery practices - quality standards, meeting coding and build requirements and build and deployment practices.
- Implement change management strategies and processes to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to maintain and build strong collaborative partnerships.
- Work closely with the program testing and cyber security team to rectify, maintain, and continually improve Digital Engineering's performance and security.
- Ensure that all operations, process, and practices operate within all relevant legislative and government standards.
- Lead and manage activities to ensure a high performing team, including recruitment and selection, performance management, coaching and development of staff to achieve established outcomes for the group.
- Work closely with Director, Web and Application Management, and the broader program team, stakeholders, and consultants/contractors to achieve deliverables.
- Be an active member and contributor to relevant technical forums (internal and external) to ensure the Web and Application Management team is understood, responsive and influential.
- Assist the Director to resolve difficult and complex operational and project issues and conflicts as and when required.
- Ensure that program activities operate within all relevant legislative and government standards.
