The ClientThakral One is a technology consulting and services company focused primarily around technology-driven consulting, adoption of value-added bespoke solutions, enabling enhanced decision support through data analytics, and embracing possibilities in the cloud.
They are now looking for a General Manager to helm the team.
The Role
This includes the general day to day running of the operation, producing and implementing sales strategies, controlling and delivering the financial performance of the business, overseeing the recruitment process and staff development strategies as well as ensuring customer satisfaction and retention are prioritised at all times.
This is a full time basis at $192,000 plus superannuation per annum, and will be based in Brisbane CBD, QLD.
The Responsibilities
Some tasks may include
- Drive execution of strategy and business development to selected local customers, both directly and via partners
- Build relationships with the Australian branches of global technology partners to extend core competencies into Australia
- Develop customized offerings and associated go to market strategy
- Assume fiscal responsibility for the Australian company and local projects including managing budget, expense management, timely invoicing, receivables tracking and monitoring
- Manage teamwork between local team members, subcontractors and regional resources including monitoring hours and expenses on a weekly basis
- Drive local hiring and communicate company culture, expectations and values
- Ensure organisation structure is appropriately resourced by identifying and matching skills of project team members with implementation requirements, including subcontractors
- Ensure team members understand their assignments
- Manage customer expectations throughout the lifecycle
- Complete risk assessment documents for projects meeting articulated criteria
- Prepare detailed project plans aligned to the Statement of Works with customers, baseline agreed plans, identify implementation options and provide recommendations and revisions as required
- Assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs using the RFP repository and coordinating consulting resources providing technical information
- Ensure customer stakeholders and HQ management are kept updated on latest issues and progress
- Manage day to day operational aspects of projects and their scope
- Possess degree qualifications in the field of business management
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in ICT consulting, enterprise technology solutions, or digital transformation environments
- At least 6 years in senior leadership or country management capacity
- Minimum 8 years demonstrated experience in P&L ownership exceeding AUD 10M equivalent annual portfolio responsibility
- Minimum 8 years expertise in enterprise solution architecture, systems integration, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks and multi vendor technology ecosystems
- Minimum 8 years experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial contracts, SOW baselining, change management governance and risk mitigation frameworks under enterprise client environments
- Minimum 8 years competency in pre sales solutioning, RFI and RFP response strategy, bid management methodologies and cross functional technical coordination
- Minimum 8 years demonstrated capability in multi country resource management including subcontractor governance, utilisation optimisation, cost allocation modelling and performance oversight
- Minimum 8 years experience implementing formal risk management frameworks aligned with ISO 31000, enterprise project governance standards and structured PMO methodologies
- Strong commercial acumen, and leadership and interpersonal skills to lead a team and set a clear direction for the business
- Exceptional communication, planning, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to develop relationships with internal and external parties, and build business networks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
