Description:
As Payroll Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities and states. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in payroll processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives. A key focus will be rolling out Payday Super, ensuring compliance with new legislative requirements and embedding best-practice processes. This role involves collaborating with HR and Finance teams, managing audits, and supporting system upgrades to enhance payroll functionality and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities and states.
- Develop and implement best-practice payroll frameworks and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including Payroll Tax, Superannuation, STP reporting, and Payday Super implementation.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain accurate payroll documentation.
- Collaborate on system upgrades and payroll-related projects, providing expert recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Requirements:
- Strong payroll experience across complex environments.
- SAP experience
- Exposure to payroll systems implementation and testing (desirable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative approach.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
