What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in program design and guidance to enable government and policy outcomes in schools, have a track record in delivering state education programs through education systems and processes to enable effective and efficient outcomes for schools, and extensive experience in constructively communicating, advising, coaching and/or supporting schools to implement departmental and government policies and advice.
About The Role
The role of Director, Statewide Initiatives within the Engagement team of Student Support Branch leads delivery of statewide initiatives to support in-school responses for students disengaging with education.
This role leads statewide program design, guidance, and systems for the FlexiSpace and Link and Launch initiatives in over 145 schools, as well as design, development and delivery of other in-school student engagement responses.
This includes governance, consultation and partnerships with other divisions and departments to enable effective delivery, preparation of briefings, cabinet related material, reporting, program outcomes for senior officials and Ministers.
The position oversees a small team, and the ideal candidate will have exceptional team leadership, development and mentoring capabilities, along with strategies and approaches to setting a clear workplan, managing demanding workloads and competing priorities across the team.
