Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and creatively driven Design Assistant to support the Design Team at Seafolly. Working closely with a Senior Designer, this role supports the development products that complement our swim collections across both retail and wholesale channels.This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, a passion for resort lifestyle fashion, and a desire to build hands-on experience within a global brand.
This is a full-time role, located in our Support Centre in Alexandria, NSW.

You Will
- Conduct seasonal trend, colour and market research, contributing to trend boards and sourcing direction.
- Research emerging fabrics, trims, techniques and embellishments, offering ideas and inspiration.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product and Retail to stay aligned with consumer insights and commercial needs.
- Create CADs, colourways, presentations and maintain accurate CAD files for sales, wholesale and internal use.
- Support sourcing and development of fabrics, trims and accessories, including tracking lab dips, strike-offs, pricing, MOQs and lead times.
- Prepare and maintain tech packs, product data, PLM codes and Excel trackers (WIPs, critical paths, costing, sample orders).
- Assist with sample tracking, fit sessions, range reviews, commercialisation readiness and showroom/sales sample coordination.
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or related discipline
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role (apparel experience preferred, accessories experience a bonus)
- Strong understanding of construction, fabrication and fit
- Exposure to accessory development highly regarded
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design
- Comfortable maintaining Excel-based trackers, cost calculators and sample order sheets
- Experience working with PLM systems (AP21 preferred)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with overseas suppliers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
